Time for some opinions.
I've discovered an incident where an ex-partner posted a song of mine on iLike without giving me credit. Further, he changed the name of the song.
I was upset about it and remain so ... even though he finally removed it (see tacit response from "mmb" in comments section).
Songs are our kids are they not? He kidnapped mine for his crowd and anyone else to hear and they would have no idea it's not his song. D'ah, the web is viral! You can't tell who will hear it and link to it or even download it. Being laissez-faire about it is just pathetic as far as I'm concerned since it shows no thought to consequence. Perhaps Dawn sums up that "attitude" best in her comment.
Anyone else wanting to comment on the basic issue of posting with no credit, please feel free ....
I think you should credit the writer in the song line if you are "unknown" especially.

The Internet is whole different thing where anyone can post and take credit or not. This may be the whole downloading syndrome at play. Why pay or why give credits at all? I'm just saying that's the attitude. Dawn

I notice he uses small case micheal murphy-boyer and you use caps KEITH ... LOL ... who's over compensating for who? But, I suppose you should get a note or something for it on the title if it's not his original song.

Just because a person uses all upper case doesn't mean that they are under or overcompensating for anything. People using all lower case may very well have issues too. Why can't we all just get along??
